Publication of Proceedings
The conference proceedings will be published by IOS Press in their Frontiers of Artificial Intelligence and Applications (FAIA) series.
The FAIA series is indexed in ACM Digital Library, DBLP, Google Scholar, SciVerse Scopus and Zentralblatt MATH.
The KES conference has for a number of years been included in CPCI (ISI Conference Proceedings Citation Index) Thomson Reuters database for conference proceedings included in the 'Web of Science'.
We were previously under the impression that the proceedings would be published by Springer-Verlag in the LNCS/AI series, as they had since 2003. However, with no notice, Springer announced they would not publish multiple-volume sets of KES conference proceedings in the way they had before. We were therefore left with no alternative but to seek another publisher.
We feel that the IOS FAIA series, indexed in almost all the same places as LNCS/AI, is an excellent substitute to publishing in Springer.
